Guide to Compiling Scientific Journal

Guide to Compiling Scientific Journal - In preparing scientific journals is not like making ordinary writing. There are several rules that must be met. The following are the stages in preparing a scientific journal.

Title - In making the journal title must be clear. The title will make it easier for readers to know the core of the journal without having to read the entire journal content. For example, suppose you keep a journal with the title "Physics Lab Report". With such a title, it is less effective for the reader because it does not describe the contents of the journal. There are readers who are lazy to read a journal because the title alone is not detailed. Choose clear titles such as "Effect of Centrifugal Force on Wind". This title will make it easier for readers who want to find out about centrifugal force in a journal.

Abstract - After the journal, what must be considered is abstract. At first glance abstracts are almost the same as summaries, but actually different. This extract is usually written last. The abstract section in a scientific journal serves to briefly digest the contents of the journal. Abstracts are written as explanatory journals without reference to journals. You must present at least 250 words that summarize the objectives, methods, results, and conclusions in the abstract. In abstract writing avoid abbreviations or quotes. The abstract must be able to stand alone without footnotes.

Preliminary - After the abstract, you can enter the introductory chapter. Introduction is a statement of the case you are investigating. In this section you must provide information to the reader to understand the specific goals in the context of greater tooritis. In this section, it also covers the background of the problem, such as a summary of each research that has been done and how an experiment will help to explain or expand knowledge in the general field. Remember, don't make the introduction too broad so the reader doesn't get confused about where to go.

Material and Method - Next is to determine the ingredients and methods. In this section you will explain about the experimental process carried out. The information described here includes experimental design, equipment used, methods for data collection, site description, and type of control. It should be noted in this section we must explain in detail and clearly. Avoid using confusing words. Explain to the point, so that readers can immediately understand the information you write.

Results - In the results section, you can present summary data with an overview in the form of text, tables, and figures. Keep in mind, in this section the information provided is only the results that are presented. There is no interpretation of data or conclusions from the data you get. An informed data must be presented in the form of a table or figure using narrative text using language that is easily understood.

Discussion - From the data that you have obtained, you can only discuss it in detail in the discussion section. In the discussion section, you can interpret existing data with observed patterns. From each relationship between the important experimental variables and the correlation between variables can be seen clearly. You must include a different explanation of the hypothesis or different or similar results with each experiment related to the research carried out by others.

It should be noted, that every experiment carried out does not have to refer to big results or tendencies to be important. If you find negative results, you can explain what causes them. Perhaps from these negative results you actually get important results that must be changed in future research activities.

Conclusion - From all Make a conclusion from the whole experiment that has been done. The point is that the researcher refers back to the statement in the introduction of any data that is informed.

References - When keeping a journal, don't forget to include the bibliography on the last page. The bibliography section is a collection of names of the literature that we use as references in journal making. From all the information in the form of quotations, we must write a bibliography in accordance with the rules of writing a good and correct bibliography.
