Know the Differences in Types and Quality of Videos

First, let us first discuss what is quality and how to determine the quality of a video. The actual quality of the video is determined by the screen resolution that is united pixel Writing a resolution that is often used in videos is usually only measured using horizontal or height alone. For example 720p video quality, actually the screen resolution used is 1024x720p which means that in a vertical row a screen displays 1024 images and in horizontal displays 720 images per pixel. Another example is 1080p / 1080i, actually the screen resolution used is 1920x1080p. While the letter p itself stands for Progressive Scan and i for Interlaced. Let's discuss one by one about the term term. I will start from the worst quality first :

CAM / HDCAM Starting from CAM, which is the worst result of a video quality. Called CAM because the video is obtained by re-recording on the cinema screen with a camera, whether it's a camcorder or another camera. So that the picture quality and sound are very bad, Sometimes the quality of CAM records people passing by when the cinema is playing so that they can see head shadows and shake when recording video. However, it is the quality of CAM that is usually the most sought after because it appears almost simultaneously in theaters. It is suitable for those of you who like pirated movies but are impatient. The highest quality of CAM is usually called HDCAM

TS (Telesync) As with the quality of CAM, TS originates from a movie recording. It's just that the sound is recorded separately with the picture. Usually the laying of the voice recorder is near the speakers in the cinema. So that the audio quality is better than CAM. But overall, the quality of CAM is still not worth watching.

SDTV (Standard Definition TV) Is the result of recording from Analog TV, the quality produced is almost similar to CAM or TS. Lots of cut-scenes because of the sensor or the number of watermarks on the display

R5 / WEBRip / DVDScr R5, WEBRip, and DVDScr are actually the same in terms of quality. R5 stands for Region 5, WEBRip is the result of a preview copy of a download website such as iTunes encoded. While DVDScr (DVD Screener) is a copy of the preview DVD before official release. This quality is a video released in only certain countries / regions or usually smuggled / pirated results. Usually it still includes a permanent subtitle (hardsub) from that country. The audio quality and picture quality are good but sometimes there are still some errors

DVDRip Is a copy of the original DVD encoded (reduce the size). This quality is quite good in terms of image and video size so it's worth watching. Usually DVDRip releases are 1-3 months after the film appears in the cinema

HDTV is good quality. HD resolution which is certainly above 720p or 720i. This High Definition Television is the result of recording from a TV channel that provides a Digital TV online site. Usually HDTVs are recorded using SmartTV.

WEB-DL (Wesbite Download) is the result of downloading from online streaming film provider sites, such as iTunes. The quality is very good because it is usually almost the same as BluRay which is of course HD.

BluRay / BRip / BDRip The quality of the film which is currently the best quality film, taken directly from Bluray Disk, the picture and sound quality is no doubt. Certainly very detailed and good. Like the appearance of the original bishop. BRip / BDRip is an encoded version of the BluRay version so that it is smaller in size. BluRay can be divided into 3 parts:

Proper Bluray
Bluray with low quality, usually leaked results and not from bluray retail.

Unrated Bluray
Bluray has not been hit by a censorship, so there are 17+ scenes, such as sex and sadistic murder

Extended Bluray / Director’s Cut Bluray
Bluray with additional scenes that are not shown on the TV version of the cinema. Sometimes this extended version lasts more than 1 hour. Only the box office has this version.
